Mizuno History

Since 1906, we have been designing and crafting sportswear for sports enthusiasts in Japan and beyond. A country with a history as complex as it is beautiful, Japan and its unique essence is the motivator and influence for Mizuno. For over 100 years, the dynamic progression of combining tradition and innovation has paved our path that we still walk today. In this journey, we have given our strength to sport legends such as Rivaldo, Ivan LeidI or Michael Schumacher, and still do today alongside Sergio Ramos, Joao Felix but also the boxing world champion Naoya Inoue “Monster”, and Olympic champion judoka Clarisse Agbegnenou.

Our philosophy at the heart of Japanese culture, art and design speaks to the inherent bond between aesthetics, spirituality and the natural world.

Our design takes its roots in the archives of sports. For more than a century, Mizuno has been creating high quality sporting goods, covering multiple disciplines for worldwide competitions. Our design DNA will always be a tribute to this heritage and reflect the richness of the features developed for the performance and the comfort of generations of athletes.
