The Wave Rider Amsterdam is a tribute to the capital city of the Netherlands.
Since 23 years, Mizuno is the main sponsor of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon. Every year we create a special edition for one of the biggest running events in the world.
This year we decided to focus on the city of Amsterdam: each letter on the shoes has its own story.

Wave Rider 26 Amsterdam
The letter S is inspired by the cinder track of the Olympic stadium.
The letter M is styled after the bridges over the canals.
The letter T is a windmill.
The letter D is based on the electronic music event ADE.
The letter E refers to Japan, Mizuno's homeland.
Moreover, the ring of canals is woven on the toecap and the city map is printed on the insoles.
