The anxiously awaited second edition of the collaboration between Mizuno and Hajime Sorayama, is set to drop in Europe and the US on the 5th of November 2021.

Hajime Sorayama has become a legend in Japan and overseas for his portrayal of feminized, biomechanoid robots and art pieces. Sorayama’s designs are a blend of fine art, illustration, and industrial design. His unique style of “superrealism” aims to find beauty in both the human body and the machine. Evident by the success of his first collaboration with Mizuno in February 2021, Sorayama’s work with both the art world and a selection of fashion juggernauts has rewarded him with a cult following amongst the most fashion-forward.

The Wave Prophecy is without a doubt one of the most futuristic-looking shoes ever created. The newest So­rayama collaboration has been designed to celebrate the 10th generation of WAVE PROPHECY with its iconic INFINI­TY WAVE. While featuring a silver top wave and tire pattern, the sole structure is designed to be lightweight and flexible. The midsole is constructed by incor­porating translucent and unique sole parts. The Metalic mesh and MIZUNO Runbird can be found peeking out at the bottom of the shoe. To assure that Haji­me’s signature sexy robots aren’t lost with the inverted coloring, the metallic coated midsection and reflective detailing remain. To add to the shoes unique concept, the shoe will come in a silver shoebox with a black co-branded toggle lock shoe bag.
