Mizuno and SHINZO Paris have teamed up to launch an exclusive capsule collection starring the Wave Prophecy LS and a curated selection of apparel pieces. The sneakers include subtle references to all athletes worldwide and Mizuno’s rich heritage in the Games. As for the apparel, the Japanese fashion universe gets reimagined through SHINZO Paris’s DNA in a capsule collection that is technical, functional and luxuriously refined.
The Wave Prophecy LS, which is the epitome of Mizuno’s minimalistic and refined aesthetic, is the shoe chosen for this collaboration. Taking inspiration from winners’ medals, SHINZO Paris wanted the sneakers to appear as if dipped in gold. The shoes come with a quarter panel mesh covered in reflective elements that shine under the light, reminiscent of a sunray on a golden medal. Paying further homage to sports, the design incorporates subtle references to the year of the upcoming Games.
The Wave Prophecy LS combines a synthetic leather and mesh upper with a textile lining, reflecting the quality of a luxury shoe. To mark the collaboration, Mizuno and SHINZO Paris logos are included on both the tongue and heel parts of the shoes.
