Contender Hikmet

Combining Mizuno’s attention for shoes’ functionality and Hikmet’s sense of cool, the spring-summer ’23 Contender Hikmet strikes a perfect balance between style and comfort. The sneakers are inspired by the snowdrop flower, also known as Galanthus. This plant, whose shape informs the sleek and essential lines of the shoe, is composed of two linear leaves and a white bell-shaped bud. The Galanthus is recognized as a symbol of hope and renewal; a flower that blooms in early spring despite the dull winter landscape. A pastel palette makes for an incredibly spring-like collaboration, infusing the iconic Contender with a soft, almost ethereal look. Mesh, suede, and hairy suede are the materials used for the upper, while leather has been chosen for the lining. Premium materials and features, such as mesh upper and advanced cushioning, have been used to make the sneakers not only stylish but also durable and comfortable.
