Unveiling the beginning of their 20th anniversary celebrations, British retailer END. visit their beloved North East coastline to honour this momentous milestone.
Submerging in its coastal theme, END.’s collection looks to the North Sea for inspiration in their second capsule. Taking aesthetic cues from the depths of the North Sea, Mizuno and END. deliver a sub-aqueous rendition of the Japanese sportswear brand’s iconic Wave Rider 10 sneaker.
Cast in a combination of Black Beauty and Estate Blue, the ‘00s running style embodies the nadirs of the deep blue. Built with a large, layered mesh across the uppers, shiny overlays introduce further textural juxtaposition across the model. A subtle colour gradient on the under-mesh shifts the sneaker’s colour palette into lighter tones as it moves from the toe to the heel, with the athletic style’s flowing panels calling to mind the swirling water of the North Sea.
Complete with the brand’s trademark RunBird logo to the sneaker’s side walls, joint branding decorates both the tongue and the heel, infusing the silhouette’s heritage sensibilities with a forward thinking and progressive attitude.
