The brand new Wave Rebellion is the product of our quest to bring extra pace to everyday runners in their next race or speed sessions. Our goal is simple: to help you run fast, whatever your fast is. And to make sure you feel comfortable all the way through.

We designed this ‘super shoe’ to deliver the perfect balance of stiffness and flexibility – cushioned and comfortable upon contact but smooth and responsive through transition. This allows you to feel in control of your run and enjoy it.

Glass Fiber re-inforced wave plate

The new Glass Fiber Re-inforced Wave Plate from heel to forefoot snaps back as you toe-off, making it more snappy for amazing energy return.

Throughout the entire midsole area, this material is extremely light and is 35% more responsive than our standard foam, and soft to enhance cushioning.

One piece upper and 3D logo

One Piece upper with a gusset tongue for an excellent fit. 3D logo design adds a strong, modern look.

To achieve this, we have created a new type of MIZUNO WAVE - a Glass Fiber Reinforced Wave Plate – a plate that bends as you land and then snaps back as you toe-off, delivering incredible propulsion. It combines bio-based plastic made from castor beans and glass fiber, and it represents the accumulation of all the knowledge we’ve acquired through 25 years of creating wave plates, perfecting them to suit the different needs of the runners.

But that’s just the plate. It doesn’t work on its own. It needs the perfect foam to go with it so we combine it with MIZUNO ENERZY Lite, which is extremely light, 35% more responsive than our standard foam, and soft to enhance cushioning.

The sleek silhouette holds a 3D logo design of our Mizuno Runbird to create a strong and modern look while its one piece upper features a gusset tongue for an excellent, supportive fit.
