Tento model je reedicí čtvrté generace řady WAVE MUSTANG, která byla uvedena na trh v roce 2006 jako model s vynikajícím tlumení, navazující na řadu WAVE RIDER. Svršek čerpá inspiraci z designů běžeckých bot z počátku 21. století, jejichž autorem je Tuan Le, a zároveň obsahuje moderní prvky, jako je nadměrně velká síťovina, kovové překryvy a logo TPU RB, které se v té době nepoužívaly.
