Back in 2024, Mizuno Sportstyle introduced the Wave Prophecy Moc – and in this moment took the mantle as an early adopter of the middle ground between sneakers and formalwear. The Moc’s debut was met with great acclaim and sold out almost instantly.
Hot on the tail of the silhouette’s preliminary launch, the heritage brand then introduced two suede iterations adorning both brown and suede tones, a winter-ready Gore-tex option, and for SS26 they make a return to the format with which the silhouette was conceived. Reverting back to a naturally aspirated all black, leather and suede palette once more.
Finding the opportunity to revisit this version of the Wave Prophecy Moc is not only a celebration of one the brand’s most successful modern styles, but a second chance for those who missed out the fi rst time around to secure this elusive pair.
As part of this refresh, each pair will land with black cotton laces instead of the white set that were commonplace for the fi rst launch, alongside secondary lock-fastened rope laces as standard – similar to the system found on Gore-Tex pairs. Beneath the durable leather upper Mizuno’s iconic Infi nity Wave tooling can be found, with pull tabs at both heel and ankle to aid foot insertion.
